No-code development: Framer speed, designer judgement

It depends on what weighs more in your case. Framer wins when the site is mostly design and storytelling: fluid animation, very fast visual editing and a workflow almost identical to a design tool. Webflow wins when structure matters: a deeper CMS, collections that relate to each other, finer control over the code it outputs and a more mature ecosystem for larger sites.

When the project needs logic: private user areas, complex search, custom integrations with your ERP or CRM, ecommerce with unusual edge cases or, frankly, an application dressed up as a website. No-code platforms leave you stranded halfway there, and you end up paying twice: once for the site that fell short and again for the real one.

Yes, if it's built properly. Both platforms now output clean code, load fast and let you control everything technical SEO needs: metadata, semantic structure, sitemap, redirects and structured data. Every site I deliver ships with all of that configured — it's my baseline on any stack, no-code included.

What no platform gives you is automatic rankings: showing up at the top for competitive searches is a matter of content and time, not tooling. Be wary of anyone who sells you otherwise.

Yes, and it's a sensible path: launch on no-code to validate, then move to a custom build when the business calls for it. Let's be frank, though: the site gets rebuilt, not "exported" with a button. Webflow can export static code with limitations (the CMS stays behind) and Framer, in practice, can't. What does migrate well is what matters: content, structure, design and URLs with their redirects.
