A brand has to work at night too
Brand manuals are designed on white. Brands are lived on black: the phone at night, the interface in dark mode, the backlit sign, the video in a darkened room. If the system has only been tested on paper, half its appearances are improvised.
Inverting isn't swapping the background
A colour that sings on white can buzz or die on black. A thin logotype vanishes. A perfectly legible text grey turns to smoke. That's why every system we deliver has both versions calibrated separately, with contrasts measured rather than inverted by eye.
If the brand only looks right on white, it looks right half the time.
— Sors
And when the brand moves, the test is double: motion that looks elegant on light can look like flicker on dark. We check both scenes before calling anything finished.
